Your privacy and HIPAA

Classic City OB/GYN has always and will always treat your patient information with extreme confidentiality. We are prepared and constantly striving to ensure that we fulfill our obligations outlined under the HIPAA Privacy Rule.

The HIPAA Privacy Rule states that, effective April 14, 2003, all medical groups and other healthcare entities must be in compliance with the Privacy Rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This is a federal law designed to safeguard confidential patient information.

We are required to seek a signed acknowledgement from you the first time that you come to our office on or after April 14, 2003. By signing, you are simply acknowledging that we have notified you of our privacy practices.
